WHY CHOOSE US?

Jordison Construction Tilt-Up is now providing time efficient and cost-effective Tilt-Up construction contracting in Iowa. After being in the concrete game for almost 50 years, Jordison Construction decided it was time for a new adventure. It is no secret that the construction industry is very complex. Most anyone that has experience in this field has been tasked with a job that seems to go on forever due to delays in materials being delivered. One of the first decisions the building owner has to make is related to construction materials affecting cost, schedule and maintenance. Taking our own experience with these constant dilemmas into consideration, we agreed that we wanted to be able to offer easier solutions. We saw an open opportunity to be at the front of the line as a concrete contractor that could service our customers in a more time efficient and cost-effective manner.

Tilt-up reduces the construction timeline significantly and makes it possible for the project to be completed much faster than if it were completed with traditional construction methods. Tilt-up is more cost effective than traditional building materials due to lower raw material costs, significant labor savings and quicker construction schedules. These benefits made it an easy decision for Jordison to get involved in tilt-up construction.

We hope you will consider Jordison to help with your next tilt-up project.

OUR TILT-UP WORK

Tilt-up, in its basic form, is a two-step process. First, slabs of concrete, which most often comprise load-bearing sections of a building envelope or elevation, are cast horizontally on a concrete slab-on-ground. The slabs (panels) are then lifted (tilted) with a crane after the concrete has reached sufficient strength. The crane sets the panels, most often in a vertical orientation, on prepared foundations, thus forming the desired wall line from a series of consecutive panels standing next to each other.
